Overview:
- One of the fourteen French destroyers of the 1920s was the successor of the Bourrasque class. These ships were built to address the shortage of modern destroyers in the French Navy. New 130 mm guns and slightly larger dimensions distinguished them from the prototype. During World War II, the lead ship, LAdroit, performed patrol and escort duties, but she was lost in May 1940 while covering the Allied evacuation from Dunkirk.
