Five drafts of a small destroyer that could be mass-produced were proposed in 1941. It was assumed that such ships would be built at shipyards in the Volga basin and, upon completion, would be transferred to the North Sea and the Baltic. The Navys General Staff considered the idea in 1942, but they rejected it because the ships displacement was too large. A year later, the performance specifications for a destroyer were presented, but the project wasnt pursued.
